RWO strengthen civils team with senior hire
Leeds-based engineering consultancy RWO has expanded its residential civils operation with the appointment of James Fawcett as associate director.
Bringing more than 20 years’ experience in private and public sector highways, drainage, SuDS and public works schemes, James joins RWO’s Leeds office at Mabgate Mills, working closely with the senior management team headquartered in Newcastle.
In his new role, he will support the delivery of current and upcoming residential and building projects, oversee technical compliance and operational performance, as well as lead the Leeds-based civils team.
His appointment follows sustained demand from residential developers progressing major investment and regeneration plans across the region.
James said: “I am delighted to be joining RWO, which has a great reputation for excellence, a strong team culture and positive philosophy, with ongoing ambitions to see its residential civils operations expand further across the UK.”
RWO employs a 40-strong team across its offices in Newcastle, Leeds, Stokesley and London, and is targeting turnover of £4 million in FY2026 as it continues to grow its portfolio of civil engineering projects.
Director of civils Alex Erskine added: “James’s breadth of experience on high-profile projects is a great addition to the civil engineering services RWO provides.
“The knowledge he brings will add to the experience and passion of colleagues, who are dedicated to delivering added value integrated engineering throughout our projects.”
