Honey unveils 125-home Raleigh scheme

A Yorkshire-based housebuilder is preparing to deliver a new housing scheme on a former industrial site in Nottingham.

Honey has secured planning permission to build 125 homes in Eastwood as part of a £41 million development on the former headquarters of bike manufacturer Raleigh.

The scheme, named Raleigh in tribute to the site’s heritage, will offer a range of two, three and four-bedroom houses, including terraces, semis and detached homes.

Prices will start from £269,995 for a two-bedroom property.

The development will feature 16 of Honey’s house types, all designed with modern living in mind, from flexible layouts to high-spec interiors.

Standard features across all homes include bi-fold doors, integrated kitchens, boutique-style bathrooms and electric vehicle charging points.

Ten per cent of the properties have also been allocated for affordable housing, while Honey has committed more than £1 million in community contributions, supporting local education, healthcare and bus services.

Work on site is due to begin this month, with the first homes released for sale in January and the first residents expected to move in by summer 2026.

Mark Mitchell, chief executive of Honey, said: “Raleigh is a fantastic addition to our growing development footprint across the East Midlands.

“Our development will once again turn the site into a vibrant part of town and give local buyers the opportunity to own one of our thoughtfully designed homes.

“Raleigh will meet the strong demand for high specification new homes in Eastwood and we have already seen a positive response since first announcing our plans for the site.

“With planning now granted, we’re excited to start work and deliver new homes which combined style, substance and sustainability for buyers looking to move in or to Eastwood.”
