Prime Accountants strengthens tax team
Prime Accountants Group has expanded its senior tax team with the appointment of Stuart Gooderham as director.
Based across Solihull, Birmingham and Coventry, the firm has hired Stuart as part of its ongoing growth strategy and continued investment in senior talent.
Stuart joins from Cooper Parry and brings nearly 20 years’ experience advising private and owner-managed businesses.
After beginning his career in audit, he moved into tax early on and has built a strong reputation for guiding clients through complex regulations, corporate tax matters and compliance requirements.
Working alongside fellow director Paislei Godley, who leads the personal tax function, Stuart will focus on business, corporate and owner-managed business tax.
His appointment marks the third new director hire at Prime within 12 months, reflecting the firm’s ambitions for further growth.
Stuart said he was attracted by Prime’s strong reputation and long-term plans after meeting with managing director Morgan Davies and former managing director Kevin Johns.
He said: “When I met with Morgan and Kev, I could see that their values closely aligned with mine – particularly their focus on maintaining a great culture, looking after their staff and team and delivering high-quality service to clients.
“That really resonated with me and fits strongly with my own values.
“Throughout my career, I’ve always worked in the private and owner-managed business market, and my client base has consistently reflected that.
“This fits really well with Prime’s client base and the direction in which the firm is heading.”
Morgan Davies, managing director of Prime Accountants Group, added: “Stuart’s appointment fits perfectly with our ongoing growth strategy and commitment to further strengthening our team of experts.
“His knowledge of working with owner-managed businesses aligns with our client base and his ability to stay across an ever-changing regulatory landscape will be invaluable.”
