Civic makes series of senior Yorkshire promotions
Leeds-based engineering practice Civic has made a series of senior promotions across its civil, structural and transport engineering teams in Yorkshire.
Andrew Elder has been promoted to regional director, while Ian Bennett becomes associate director and Hannah Keighley has been named senior associate as part of wider UK-wide progression within the business.
Andrew, a chartered structural engineer with more than 14 years’ experience, will continue to support major building, regeneration and mixed-use projects while strengthening Civic’s presence in Leeds.
Ian leads the building information modelling team in the city, delivering specialist consultancy across a range of high-profile schemes.
Hannah, also a chartered structural engineer, will focus on historic restoration and large-scale developments across Yorkshire.
The promotions follow a period of strong growth for Civic, reflecting the firm’s commitment to developing talent and expanding its influence across the region.
Leah Stuart, director and Leeds studio lead, said: “Andy, Ian and Hannah are exceptionally skilled and committed to creating lasting impact through their approach to engineering.
“Together, they have worked on some of Yorkshire’s most significant projects that have put the region on the map globally for climate resilience and creating better places for people, such as through the low carbon urban living at Climate Innovation District and York Housing, and the retrofit of our historic landmarks.
“They have also been right at the heart of expanding our operations and strengthening our team in Yorkshire.
“It’s a credit to them that our studio on Saw Mill Street has an outstanding team culture, and I’d like to congratulate them on their achievements.”
