Metir bolsters leadership and growth team
York-based water and environmental testing technology company Metir plc has appointed Claire Smith as its new chief financial officer, bringing more than 25 years of financial and operational experience to the business.
Claire joins from AIM-listed manufacturer Zytronic, where she held senior roles including chief executive, chief financial officer and company secretary, following earlier finance positions with the NAAFI and Procter & Gamble in the UK and Germany.
Alongside Claire’s appointment, Metir has expanded its commercial capability with the creation of a new business development function.
The team includes a business development manager and a technical support specialist who will focus on driving UK and international sales, enhancing customer support and strengthening Metir’s global distributor network.
The additions form part of Metir’s plans to accelerate growth across its LX, FX and continuous toxicity monitoring product lines.
