Prosura names new operations director

Wakefield-based independent insurance broker Prosura has promoted Alison Dawson to operations director as the business continues to strengthen its leadership team.

Alison joined the company ahead of its 2023 launch and has played a key role in building the foundations that support Prosura’s people, clients, systems and processes. 

Previously broking and compliance manager, she has been central to the firm’s early growth and reputation for operational excellence.

In her new role, Alison will oversee day-to-day operations and continue shaping the structures that underpin Prosura’s service delivery and long-term ambitions.

She said: “Insurance has been a part of my life for over 35 years. 

“I started as a trainee on my 16th birthday, became one of just a handful of dual site managers, finishing with managing the largest branch of a leading insurance broker! 

“Then my journey with Prosura started and I have never looked back!

“I have enjoyed a distinguished career in insurance, but I can honestly say that becoming a director is without doubt my proudest career moment. 

“I am now looking forward to representing Prosura as we grow the insurance business and welcome more independent brokers into Prosura Group.”
