LV Shipping expands operations at Infinity Park
A logistics firm is expanding its footprint in the North East to support rising demand.
Global operator LV Shipping has increased its presence at Monkton Business Park in Hebburn after securing additional space at Infinity Park, where it has been based for several years.
The company has taken over Unit 19, adding 10,000sq ft to its existing 15,000sq ft at Unit 18 and bringing its total footprint on the site to 25,000sq ft.
Founded more than a century ago, LV Shipping runs operations across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the Americas.
Its UK headquarters in Middlesbrough oversee a broad range of freight forwarding, warehousing and logistics services.
Bosses say the expansion in Hebburn creates extra capacity for new contracts, increased storage and improved efficiency for customers across the region.
Lee Woolams, managing director of LV Shipping, said: “Once we learned about the opportunity at Monkton Business Park, we moved quickly.
“The Newcastle team love their current base and the timing worked well as they continue to grow.
“The strong relationships between both parties have helped deliver a smooth and efficient transition.”
Infinity Park, owned and managed by Hellens Group, offers strong connectivity via the A19 and Tyne Tunnel and is home to major occupiers including Siemens, Ford Component Manufacturing and Kier.
Gavin Cordwell-Smith, chief executive of Hellens Group, added: “It is fantastic to see LV Shipping increase their presence at Infinity Park.
“Our development was designed to provide modern, flexible space for ambitious companies, and LV Shipping’s expansion demonstrates the strength of demand for quality industrial accommodation in this part of the North East.
“We are proud to support their growth.”
