S&W strengthens transactions team with Director appointment in London

S&W, the fast-growing professional services group, has appointed James Maclean as Director in its transaction services value creation team, based in London. James has over 20 years’ experience in audit, IFRS, and financial services deal advisory, including senior roles at PwC and KPMG.

He specialises in banking & capital markets, fintech, and asset & wealth management, advising boards on 100+ transactions worth £30bn+, with expertise in data-driven insights, operational improvements, and value creation.

He brings experience from secondments at a leading UK high-street bank and a challenger bank in deal advisory, partnering with internal corporate development teams and most recently, he worked with a private bank on a value creation and execution assessment. James has also completed Oxford Saïd’s fintech programme, further strengthening his expertise in the evolving financial landscape. His appointment reinforces S&W’s commitment to strengthening its transactions offering and guiding clients through the full deal lifecycle.
