Testing firm expands with Rural Solutions deal

A testing and compliance firm has expanded with a takeover.

Celnor Group has bought Rural Solutions.

Bosses say the move for the planning, architectural, landscaping and consultancy services operator has added “real depth” to London-headquartered Celnor’s built environment division.

Headquartered in Skipton, North Yorkshire, Rural Solutions employs around 40 staff and works nationally with estates, landowning institutions, private individuals, developers, property agents and leisure operators.

Its services include estate-scale strategy and master planning, heritage conservation, sustainable design and regenerative land management.

The deal comes just days after Celnor wrapped up an agreement for Primary Water Solutions.

Hailing its latest move, Simon Parrington, Celnor founder and chief executive, said: “With its national reputation, creative approach and strong focus on rural communities, Rural Solutions complements our collective ambition to support clients in navigating their compliance and regulatory challenges across the built environment lifecycle.”

William Fry, Rural Solutions’ managing director, added: “Joining Celnor is an exciting step.

“Being part of Celnor’s built environment division will strengthen our ability to support clients through access to a range of technical, environmental and professional property services across the group.”

Rural Solutions’ shareholders were advised on the deal by Ben Peacock and Adam Trevisani, of Park Place, and Brabners’ Andrew Bradley and Megan Colvin.
