Full fibre rolls out across Newcastle
A connectivity specialist is expanding high-speed digital infrastructure across Newcastle.
Eclipse Wholesale, the Gateshead-based connectivity and communications wholesaler, has launched a new full fibre connectivity solution in the city, delivered by their long-standing channel partner ITS.
The rollout will provide more than 4000 business premises with next-generation connectivity, supporting sectors including health, education, digital and the creative industries.
It also marks progress in a city where historic buildings and complex road networks have previously made fibre deployment challenging.
Eclipse Wholesale and ITS have collaborated for more than four years, delivering full fibre projects in over 20 UK locations, with Eclipse having been named ITS’ Preferred Strategic Partner for the Newcastle scheme.
The new network spans key commercial areas including Newcastle Helix, NICD, the Digital Quarter and the Quayside, giving some of the city’s most innovative organisations access to faster, more reliable and future-proof digital services.
James Drake, managing director at Eclipse Wholesale, said: “We’re incredibly proud to see full fibre connectivity being brought to the centre of Newcastle, especially through such a strong partnership with ITS.
“As a North East business, it’s fantastic to be part of a project that will make a difference to local companies and the wider community.
“This launch represents a major opportunity for our partners to deliver high-quality connectivity right on our doorstep.”
