Material sciences firm eyes growth after backing
A firm helping clean up food and drink packaging has expansion on the menu following eight-figure support.
2M Group has been backed by HSBC UK.
Bosses say the cash will drive the Runcorn-based company’s growth across the UK, Europe and US markets by boosting production of compostable takeaway food cartons and coffee cups.
They add the funding is also expected to deliver “significant” turnover growth over the next year.
Founded in 2024, 2M Group distributes chemicals and related services to markets in Benelux, China, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, the US and the Nordic region.
Mottie Kessler, 2M Group chief executive and chair, said: “We are always adapting to capitalise on shifting international demand, and HSBC UK shared our global vision and could see our long-term ambitions.
“We look forward to identifying new opportunities as we continue to expand across global markets.”
Mark Watson, HSBC UK senior relationship director, added: “Chemical distribution and manufacturing is an adaptive industry.
“2M Group exemplifies a commitment to flexibility and innovation for its customers.”
