Construction firm builds with 'milestone' takeover
An off-site building maker has expanded with a takeover.
MTX Contracts has bought facilities management and engineering services firm Elite Group.
Bosses say the move marks an “exciting milestone” for the Wilmslow-based operator.
They add it presents a “significant opportunity” for the family-owned company – known for design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance support across hospital facilities – to deliver future healthcare estate projects.
Based in Shipley, on the outskirts of Bradford, Elite Group employs nearly 50 staff and provides design, mechanical and electrical build and installation, property compliance and facilities management services.
David Hartley, MTX Contracts managing director, said: “Elite Group’s impressive achievements, strong culture and technical capability make them a natural fit for our business.
“Together, we are well positioned to support the evolving needs of the NHS estate, while creating new opportunities for our teams and clients alike.
“This marks the start of an exciting new chapter for both organisations.”
He added Daniel Bowman has been appointed Elite Group managing director.
