Naked Energy appoints new COO
Crawley-based solar thermal technology company Naked Energy has appointed Steve Craddock as chief operating officer as it continues its global expansion.
Steve brings more than 20 years’ engineering and infrastructure experience from senior roles at multinational firms including SPIE Group and DAR Group, alongside international work across the UK, US and Abu Dhabi.
He most recently served as managing director at UL, overseeing significant business growth and major sustainability contracts.
Steve said: “I’m thrilled to join Naked Energy at such an exciting stage of its growth.
“The company’s technology has the potential to transform how we think about heat and decarbonisation, and I’m looking forward to working with this talented team to accelerate our global impact.”
Steve’s appointment follows Naked Energy’s £17 million investment round from E.ON and Barclays, accelerating deployment of its high-density Virtu solar heat and PVT technology – designed to deliver zero-carbon heat and save up to four times more carbon than standard solar PV.
Steve will support the scale-up’s international projects across the UK, Europe and the US, further strengthening its position in the global clean energy sector.
Christophe Williams, chief executive of Naked Energy, added: “It’s fantastic to have Steve join the Naked Energy team.
“We’re entering an exciting and incredibly important phase of the business, and his experience achieving significant growth for companies in the energy sector will accelerate our mission.
“His track record is remarkably impressive, and it’s exciting to have his international expertise help us to change energy for good.”
