Qualter Hall appoints new chief operating officer

Barnsley-based engineering firm Qualter Hall has promoted long-serving technical director Graham Carr to chief operating officer, strengthening its leadership team as the business targets further profitable growth.

Graham brings 39 years of experience with the company, including more than two decades as a director.

His extensive knowledge of Qualter Hall’s operations, markets and client base positions him to lead the firm’s next phase of development.

Graham said: “Having worked side-by-side with the senior leadership team for over two decades, I'm delighted to be stepping into this key role, and confident of a seamless transition.

“My priority is to support the ongoing development of our talented team and operational efficiencies, ensuring that we continue to evolve in response to changing client needs and maintain our reputation for quality and innovation.

“This will provide the stability needed to navigate today's challenging marketplace as we pursue our sustained growth strategy.”

The board said Graham’s appointment reinforces the company’s leadership structure and supports its ambition to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving engineering sector.

Martin Kelly, executive chairman of Qualter Hall, added: “Graham’s commitment and operational insight are invaluable as we navigate the future.

“The board of directors are ideally placed to address the challenges in our marketplace and look forward to leading the business to continued profitable growth.”
