Gaming firm launches with 'beautiful' growth mission
A games development studio has launched vowing to take production to a new level.
Last Arrow Games has opened its doors in Gateshead.
Bosses say it will “make beautiful games… and deliver an immersive player experience”.
Part of Pneuma Games Group – a division of Pneuma Group – the venture is led by industry veterans Ron Ashtiani, Owen O’Brien, Andrew Willans and Chris McClure.
Chief executive Ron, who previously founded visual design studio Atomhawk, said his latest endeavour will “deliver bold and innovative next-generation game design”.
He said: “We are assembling a team of specialists with extensive genre-specific experience who are passionate about delivering innovative gameplay and exceptional execution.”
Studio head Owen O’Brien, who previously led teams on high-profile franchises including Harry Potter, added: “The industry is facing increased pressures through layoffs and a generally subdued appetite for private investment.
“However, Pneuma Games Group is bucking that trend, and with its support we’re able to build a new studio with a specialised team who are already working on the studio’s first original IP.”
Pneuma Games Group also includes Double Eleven and Cast Iron Games, with its Pneuma Group parent’s portfolio also comprising Pneuma Hospitality Group, Pneuma Property Group, Pneuma Automotive Group and Pneuma Business Services.
