North East manufacturer ramps up capacity
A North East manufacturing firm is expanding its operations as it responds to rising demand and prepares for a significant uplift in production.
Total Moulding Solutions has increased its warehouse footprint from 27,000sq ft to 36,000sq ft, creating additional space to support new product launches and growing customer requirements.
Bosses say the investment will enhance storage for existing lines and upcoming products, including new poly milk crates and bale arm crates due for release in early 2026.
They add that the enlarged facility will allow the company to run higher volumes, boost raw material and finished goods capacity and support forecasted sales growth of 55 per cent in 2026 and 23 per cent in 2027.
To meet accelerating demand, the firm has already moved to 24-hour production, five days a week, and is set to recruit further team members throughout 2026.
Looking ahead, the company expects to transition to full 24/7 production in 2027.
Steve Peverall, managing director of Total Moulding Solutions, said: “We are entering one of the most exciting periods in our company’s history.
“Demand for British-made products has never been stronger, and this expansion ensures we can continue to exceed customer expectations while scaling responsibly and sustainably.
“By investing in our people, our production capacity, and our infrastructure, we’re laying the foundations for long-term growth and solidifying our position as a trusted manufacturing partner for industries across the UK and beyond.”
