Buy It Direct makes trio of senior hires
Buy It Direct Group, based in Huddersfield, has made three senior appointments to strengthen its growing B2B division as it continues to expand its offering across property, construction, hospitality and the public sector.
Phil Smith has joined as head of strategic sales, while Stuart Garmston joins as strategic sales manager and Ryan Wilson as internal account manager.
All three previously worked together at Domestic Appliance Distributors and bring more than 50 years of combined experience in commercial appliance sales, trade partnerships and customer development.
Phil said: “Joining Buy It Direct Group presents an exciting opportunity to strengthen and expand our trade partnerships.
“There’s growing demand for a supplier that combines scale, service, and long-term reliability, and we’re ready to deliver exactly that as the Group continues to invest in its B2B offering.”
The appointments support Buy It Direct’s wider push into B2B, building on its established consumer brands and nationwide fulfilment network.
The group has also confirmed plans to launch a new B2B eCommerce platform next year, designed to simplify procurement and give trade customers access to thousands of products in one place.
Nick Glynne, chief executive at Buy It Direct, added: “B2B is a key growth area for us.
“We’ve built a strong reputation in the consumer space, and now we’re applying that same scale, service, and expertise to business customers.
“These appointments reflect our commitment to investing in talented people who understand the needs of businesses and can help us deliver an outstanding experience across every channel.”
