CPD helps spread festive cheer
A Teesside-based manufacturer is backing families this Christmas.
Stockton-on-Tees firm CPD Bodies has teamed up with The Teesside Family Foundation to support its annual Christmas Toy Appeal, helping ensure more local children receive gifts during the festive period.
Members of the CPD Bodies team, led by managing director Cathal Doocey, visited the B&M Superstore at Middlehaven to purchase a wide selection of toys and presents for families across the region.
The donations were then transported to the charity’s Cannon Park headquarters using CPD’s own Luton and panel vans, with colleagues supporting the logistics and loading.
Cathal said: “We’ve supported The Teesside Family Foundation for a couple of years now, and each time we’re reminded of just how many families in Teesside are facing challenges most of us don’t see.
“If we can play a small part in making Christmas feel a bit more special for local children, then it’s something we’re proud to do.
“I’m very grateful to the CPD team who came along to help.
“Their involvement is what makes contributions like this possible.”
The initiative forms part of CPD Bodies’ ongoing relationship with The Teesside Family Foundation, which provides vital support to families facing challenging circumstances throughout the year.
The Christmas appeal is one of the charity’s most important campaigns, helping to ease pressure on households and ensure children can enjoy the festive season.
Tony Wedlake, founder and trustee of the Teesside Family Foundation, added: “The Teesside Family Foundation would like to express our heartfelt thanks to CPD Bodies Ltd and Cathal Doocey for their incredible generosity in donating toys to our Christmas Toy Appeal.
“This remarkable support will help us bring joy to hundreds of children across Teesside who might otherwise wake up to very little on Christmas morning.
“We are truly grateful for partners like CPD Bodies Ltd whose kindness and community spirit make a real and lasting difference to local families in need.”
