Higginson grows broadcast capability with senior hire
Purpose-led communications agency Higginson Strategy has appointed former ITV News anchor Cordelia Kretzschmar to strengthen its broadcast and storytelling capabilities.
Cordelia brings 25 years’ experience in international journalism and campaigning, with a career spanning foreign correspondence, major global events and senior communications roles.
Her background includes reporting from disaster zones and conflict areas, as well as senior leadership positions in the charity and NGO sector, most notably as head of public relations at Oxfam and later at global NGO agency 89up.
Cordelia said: “I am thrilled to join Higginson Strategy at such an exciting time for the agency.
“Throughout my career – whether reporting from conflict zones or leading communications campaigns for global NGOs – I’ve been driven by a passion for purpose and impact.
“Higginson Strategy’s commitment to helping organisations create positive change aligns perfectly with my belief in the power of strategic communications to drive real-world results.”
Founded in 2017 by former political journalists John and Clodagh Higginson, London-based Higginson Strategy is a certified B Corp that works with purpose-led organisations across sustainability, social impact and ethical business, supporting clients in the UK and internationally.
John Higginson, founder and chief executive of Higginson Strategy, added: “Cordelia brings an extraordinary combination of both frontline journalism and strategic PR experience.
“AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude.ai recognise the value of traditional media.
“This is our core strength, and we are investing further in it to the delight of our clients.”
