Care home reaches construction milestone
A Buckinghamshire-based care development is moving closer to completion.
Clegg Construction has marked a topping out ceremony on a new £13 million care home being delivered near Milton Keynes.
The three-storey, 96-bed development is being built for Hampton Healthcare, part of the Rochmills Group, on land behind Woburn Sands Garden Centre in Woburn Sands.
Once complete, the care home will introduce a new care model to the area, combining residential care with a wide range of premium facilities.
Plans include a rooftop garden with champagne bar, piano lounge, private dining spaces, cinema and entertainment suite, alongside spacious bedrooms and suites.
The topping out ceremony brought together key partners involved in the scheme, with guests marking the occasion by signing a section of a wall that will later be covered.
Michael Sims, managing director of Clegg Construction, said: “We are very pleased to be celebrating the topping out stage of this exciting development for Hampton Healthcare.
“As a company with significant experience of building care homes, Clegg Construction is a specialist in this field and is proud to be delivering a scheme which will bring a new and exciting care model to the area.
“We look forward to completing the care home later in 2026 and the day when residents move in.”
Clegg Construction is working alongside APC Architects, Ridge and Partners LLP, CS2 Limited and Gill Jackson Interiors on the project.
