Estate agency expands with Clarke Holland deal
An estate agency group has expanded with a takeover.
My Property Box has bought Ashington-based Clarke Holland.
The company says the move strengthens its presence across Northumberland and Tyne and Wear, and “reflects its ambition to continue expanding its residential lettings footprint across the region”.
Under the terms of the deal – completed for an undisclosed sum – Clarke Holland’s rental property portfolio will be managed by My Property Box’s Jesmond office.
The agreement follows previous takeovers of County Durham’s Ready to Rent and Seaham-based Newton Assets, and comes after a multi-million-pound investment from growth capital investor BGF.
Ben Quaintrell, founder and chief executive of Darlington-headquartered My Property Box, said: “We are delighted to welcome Clarke Holland’s landlords and tenants, who will benefit from our proactive approach, digital systems and extensive expertise in property management.”
He added the firm has also strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Will Maddock as chief finance officer.
Joining from Manchester-headquartered Operam Education Group, his arrival brings the financial function in-house for the first time.
Will said: “I’m excited to have joined My Property Box at such a pivotal stage in its growth journey.
“The business has already achieved an impressive track record of acquisitions, and I look forward to helping shape the next phase of its development.”
