Newcastle finance deal fuels accountancy growth
A Newcastle-based professional services firm is expanding its operations and workforce following a strategic acquisition supported by a commercial finance broker.
Modern accountancy practice Altho Dai has completed the acquisition of the main client book of Clements and Co, a move that has increased the firm’s turnover by 80 per cent.
Support for the transaction was provided by Newcastle-based commercial finance broker Trusted Business Partner, which helped secure the funding required to complete the deal.
As a result, six jobs have been created at Altho Dai, with one role currently being recruited for as the business expands its team and client offering.
The practice focuses on providing accessible, down-to-earth accountancy support to small businesses, with particular expertise in supporting female founders.
Rebecca Beeby, founder and managing partner of Altho Dai, said: “James was excellent to deal with and nothing was too much trouble for him.
“He took the time to explain all of my options with no jargon or judgement.
“There were some very stressful parts of this process and James was a trusted sounding board - he calls when he says he’s going to call.
“As a fairly new business, I couldn't have done what I’ve done without Trusted Business Partner's help, now onto the next!”
Trusted Business Partner specialises in securing commercial finance for businesses across the professional services sector, helping clients navigate funding and cashflow challenges.
The company works with a wide network of financial providers to structure funding solutions aligned with business growth plans.
James Clinghan, managing director of Trusted Business Partner, added: “This transaction demonstrates what we do best at Trusted Business Partner, matching businesses with the right financial solutions by exploring every option and ensuring deals work for all parties involved.
“Our approach for each client is always the same and built on transparency, integrity, and determination to deliver results.
“A key area in which we specialise is professional services, and it has been a delight to work with the brilliant Rebecca Beeby on the growth of her leading accountancy practice.
“We wish Rebecca and the practice every success in this next phase of growth and look forward to supporting their continued success.”
