HBD makes strategic board promotion
Sheffield-based property developer HBD, part of Henry Boot, has promoted Tom Wheldon to its strategic board with responsibility for customer strategy.
Tom steps up from his role as director and head of region to become executive director and will continue to lead HBD’s operations board from the firm’s Sheffield office.
He joined HBD in 2016 and has led the delivery of major real estate projects across Yorkshire and the North East, including Markham Vale, The Chocolate Works and Wakefield Hub, with experience spanning development, land acquisition and business growth.
Tom also sits on the board of Humber Freeport and is a long-standing supporter of property charity LandAid, where he is a member of the Yorkshire and Humber board.
Tom’s promotion supports HBD’s continued growth as it delivers a £1.3 billion development pipeline across industrial, logistics, urban development and residential projects.
Hamer Boot, executive director at HBD, said: “Tom’s promotion recognises not only his technical expertise but also his ability to build strong relationships with our partners and customers.
“His leadership will be central in shaping our customer strategy as we further strengthen our position as partner of choice and drive HBD’s next phase of growth.”
