Award-Winning Architect Firm Celebrates New Milestones
An architectural practice specialising in period properties and bespoke newbuilds in the luxury residential sector is celebrating reaching key milestones, including growing its team and branching into new sectors.
As well as its residential arm, Musson Brown Architects in Jesmond now delivers commercial projects for clients across professional services, education, and healthcare.
To help meet the growing demand for its award-winning services, two new employees have joined the team: architect, Piran Reitze and Ayesha Miraflores, architectural assistant.
Co-founder Victoria Brown said: “We are delighted to welcome Piran and Ayesha, both of whom bring a creative flair and strong attention to detail.
“Our practice is renowned for executing bespoke residential architectural projects, but we have recently extended into the commercial sector, where we apply our design rigour and attention to detail to a variety of contexts.”
“The size of our practice remains one of our defining strengths. We have intentionally curated a team intimate enough that we stay personally involved in every project, while maintaining the capability to deliver complex, large-scale builds. Piran and Ayesha will support the delivery of the exciting new commissions we have lined up for 2026.”
Piran, who joins as an architect, said on their appointment: “What drew me to Musson Brown was the team’s collaborative approach to every commission, and the diverse portfolio of work they undertake. It’s rare to find a practice that balances creativity, technical rigour, and genuine client relationships so effectively.”
As a result of this complete offering and Musson Brown’s thoughtful approach to design, the practice now boasts a team of eight and has seen a year-on-year increase in turnover, with 2025 being the strongest to date.
Co-founder, George Musson, added: “This is a hugely exciting time for us. We are currently working on several ambitious developments, including the renovation of the Quayside’s historic Eldon Chambers and an innovative Neurodiversity Centre in Gosforth. We are also developing a 60-unit apartment scheme and a striking aparthotel in the city centre. These commissions reflect the breadth of our expertise, as well as our commitment to delivering architecture that is both intelligent and impactful.”
