Engineering firm secures 'milestone' energy contract
An engineering firm has secured a “milestone” energy sector deal.
T12 Engineering is set to design and make a 60-tonne subsea system for a Norwegian oil and gas operator.
Officials say the agreement “further strengthens the company’s position in one of Europe’s most important energy markets”.
They add Teesside, Glasgow and Edinburgh-based T12 Engineering will project manage engineering, procurement and construction of the apparatus, which will be “mission-critical to the safe operation of subsea equipment in the Norwegian Sea”.
The system is set to be installed later this year.
Graham Melroy, director at T12 Engineering, which last year opened a Norway office, said: “Securing our first major award with this operator marks an important step forward.
“We see the project as a catalyst for building long-term relationships across Scandinavia.”
Andrew Hughes, fellow T12 Engineering director, added: “The award highlights the depth of expertise within our team and its ability to deliver high-integrity subsea solutions on complex projects.
“It also demonstrates the value of continued investment in strengthening our international presence.”
T12 Engineering also recently announced a partnership with Brazilian industrial and engineering service provider Priner Serviços Industriais SA.
