Workshops set to kickstart business growth
A packed programme of business support events is set to help firms across the Tees Valley sharpen their skills and prepare for the year ahead.
More than 40 workshops, masterclasses and webinars will run from mid-January to March 2026, offering practical support for start-ups and growing businesses looking to adapt and scale.
The programme will cover areas including AI for business, growth strategy, digital marketing, cyber security and HR, alongside two larger events focused on procurement and access to finance.
The sessions will be delivered by specialist organisations including Enterprise Made Simple, HR2Day, Hour One, Circle Cloud and Collective Minds CIC, bringing expert insight into topics such as scaling operations, finding customers online and recruiting the right talent.
Tees Valley mayor Ben Houchen said: “Local firms are the lifeblood of our economy across Teesside, Darlington and Hartlepool, but we know just what a challenge running a business can be.
“It’s crucial we our give our firms the right tools, practical support and expert advice to create opportunities to grow, adapt and stay competitive.
“This programme is about backing our local businesses, helping them embrace new technology and making sure they’re well placed to succeed now and into the future.
“If you’re thinking about it, book a slot.”
Events will take place across all five Tees Valley boroughs, as well as online, ensuring broad access for businesses across the region.
Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is coordinating the programme, which is supported by local authorities and funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, administered by the Tees Valley Combined Authority.
Councillor Lisa Evans, leader of Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council and Tees Valley Combined Authority cabinet member for employment, education and skills, added: “I’m proud of the great work of our Council and our partners to help deliver this programme for businesses across the Tees Valley.
“Education and skills are incredibly important to firms, whether adopting new digital tools, strengthening leadership, or building the right workforce, and these workshops give businesses practical, hands-on support to do exactly that.
“These workshops and events have great variety and are a brilliant way to unlock a new skill which may prove to have huge benefits for your business and help you hit the ground running in 2026.”
Further workshop dates are expected to be announced in the coming months.
