Celnor Group appoints divisional MD
Testing, inspection and compliance investor Celnor Group has appointed Richard Shepherd as divisional managing director, with responsibility for its EU and analytical sciences divisions.
In his new role, Richard will provide strategic and operational leadership across the group’s EU businesses Tera, Toxilabo and Indediag, alongside its analytical sciences companies Scaled Solutions, Drayton and Chemtech.
He will work closely with management teams to support performance, collaboration and sustainable growth.
Richard brings more than 25 years’ senior leadership experience in the laboratory and testing sector.
His career includes senior roles at ALcontrol and Eurofins, and most recently chief operating officer at Cawood Scientific, where he played a key role in scaling operations and strengthening delivery.
Richard said: “I am excited to be joining Celnor at such an important stage in its growth.
“The Group has built a strong reputation for supporting specialist, high-quality businesses, and I am looking forward to working with the leadership teams across the EU and Analytical Sciences Division to build on that success and drive the next phase of development together.”
Richard’s appointment further bolsters Celnor Group’s senior leadership team as it continues to grow its specialist capabilities across the TICC sector.
Simon Parrington, chief executive of Celnor Group, added: “Richard is a highly respected leader with deep sector expertise and a strong track record of operational excellence.
“His experience of building and leading high-performing laboratory businesses makes him an excellent fit for Celnor, and I am delighted to welcome him to the Group.
“Richard will play a key role as we continue to invest in and grow our specialist businesses across Europe.”
