North East leaders launch seasonal retreats
A North East luxury wellbeing initiative is bringing female business leaders together to offer a new, more sustainable approach to leadership development and personal growth.
A new seasonal retreat series is being launched across the region by a collaboration of established female entrepreneurs and coaches, aiming to support women in leadership and business through a blend of strategy, coaching and wellbeing.
Designed to move away from traditional hustle-led models, the programme focuses on aligning professional ambition with balance, clarity and long-term sustainability.
The initiative has been developed by Wearside-based Claire Pickersgill and Julie Turnbull, co-founders of The Ladies Collective, alongside Teesside-based Sarah Pike Coaching.
Together, they have created The Seasons Series, a programme structured around the natural rhythm of the four seasons, with each retreat offering a carefully curated mix of coaching, peer connection and restorative practices.
Each event will take place at selected luxury venues across the North East, showcasing the region’s hospitality and wellness offer while reinforcing its growing reputation for female-led enterprise.
The first retreat is scheduled for March 2026 at Grantley Hall, marking the start of a year-long cyclical journey rather than a standalone experience.
Claire said: “So many women are building successful businesses while carrying enormous mental and emotional loads.
“This collaboration allows us to create space for reflection, recalibration and ambition – without burnout.”
Julie added: “The North East has an incredible community of female leaders.
“This retreat series is about harnessing that collective energy, supporting collaboration over competition, and giving women permission to grow in ways that feel aligned and sustainable.”
Bringing together expertise in transformational coaching, leadership development, public relations and community building, the collaboration draws on a wide range of complementary skills.
Through The Ladies Collective, the founders have already built a large regional network supporting women in business via events, mentorship and partnerships, while Sarah Pike Coaching focuses on guiding women through change and leadership transitions.
More broadly, the retreat series reflects a shift within the business landscape, as organisations and individuals place greater value on wellbeing-led leadership and purpose-driven growth.
Sarah added: “The seasons offer a powerful framework for growth.
“By aligning goals, mindset and strategy with natural cycles, women can lead with more confidence, resilience, and authenticity.
“This partnership allows us to deliver that message in a truly luxurious, supportive environment.”
A full-season pass is available, giving participants access to all four retreats across the 2026 programme, aimed at women seeking intentional luxury, meaningful connection and space to realign how they live and lead.
