Plans submitted for 184-home scheme
Plans have been submitted for a new housing development in Derbyshire.
Housebuilder Honey has acquired a 20.4-acre site in Woodville and submitted proposals for a £60 million development delivering 184 new homes.
Known as Rosette, the scheme is planned for land off Kiln Way and will feature a mix of two, three, four and five-bedroom properties.
The development would include 16 different house types, all designed to reflect changing buyer expectations around space, flexibility and sustainability.
Standard features across the development would include integrated kitchens, bi-fold doors and boutique-style bathrooms.
Subject to approval by South Derbyshire District Council, construction is expected to begin in summer 2026, with the first residents anticipated to move in during early 2027.
Mark Mitchell, chief executive of Honey, said: "Submitting plans our Rosette development is a strategic step in accelerating the growth of our footprint across Derbyshire.
“Our extensive market research has highlighted the significant demand for high specification, high quality homes in and around the Woodville area.
“Our proposed development will deliver a range of new homes that combine style, substance and sustainability to meet this demand.
“We now look forward to submitting our proposed plans to South Derbyshire District Council.”
Sheffield-headquartered Honey is currently active across the region, with homes on sale at nine developments stretching from South Yorkshire to Nottinghamshire.
The proposed Woodville scheme builds on that growth, with designs shaped by consumer insight to ensure homes are suited to modern living.
