Planning firm unveils Yorkshire home blueprint
A planning firm has submitted a blueprint for a new home scheme.
The Strategic Land Group (SLG) has lodged a permission in principle application for up to five properties in Goldsborough, North Yorkshire.
Bosses say SLG will work with the landowner to secure planning permission before finding a housebuilder to develop the site.
They add the move will help increase North Yorkshire Council’s housing land bank amid higher Government homebuilding targets.
Michael Shaw, land and planning manager at Manchester-based SLG, said: “Goldsborough is an ideal location to deliver a small number of high-quality homes to help meet local housing needs.
“With the council currently unable to demonstrate a five-year housing land supply, small, well-located sites like this can make a valuable contribution while respecting the character of local communities.”
A permission in principle application was introduced by Westminster with the aim of simplifying the planning process for sites of up to nine homes, with design details and layout handled by a subsequent technical details approval.
