Story Homes helps Lionesses’ roar
A North East housebuilder is strengthening ties with a local women’s football team as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting grassroots sport and community life.
Story Homes has continued its sponsorship of Whitley Bay Sporting Club’s Senior Lionesses with a £500 donation, which has been used to fund new team jackets.
The investment is designed to help the players feel part of a unified squad both on and off the pitch.
Rebecca Fairley, coach of the Whitley Bay Senior Lionesses, said: “We’re so grateful to Story Homes for their continued support.
“The £500 donation has allowed us to purchase new team jackets, which the players love.
“It’s amazing to have a respected local company backing us, and it really helps to strengthen the connection between our club and the local community.”
The team plays close to Robinson Fields, a Whitley Bay development by Story Homes that is nearing completion, with around 95 per cent of homes now sold.
The site features a mix of two to five-bedroom properties aimed at a broad range of buyers.
Story Homes’ latest support reflects its wider approach to community engagement, with the housebuilder regularly backing local initiatives alongside delivering new housing.
By investing in people as well as places, the company aims to help create sustainable, well-connected communities where it builds.
Kye Bradley, sales director for Story Homes North East, added: “We’re delighted to once again support the Whitley Bay Senior Lionesses.
“At Story Homes, we’re passionate about making a positive difference in the communities where we build, and supporting local sports teams is a fantastic way to do that.
“The Lionesses are a brilliant example of teamwork, determination and community spirit, and we’re proud to be a part of their journey.”
