Breck appoints Yorkshire managing director

Northern property developer Breck has appointed Nigel Robson as Yorkshire managing director of Breck Homes, its affordable housing arm.

Nigel brings more than 30 years’ experience in the development sector across the North and will lead Breck Homes’ expanding operations in Yorkshire. 

His appointment follows the opening of Breck’s first Yorkshire office at Millshaw Park near Leeds as part of its continued northern growth.

Previously, Nigel held board-level roles at Yorkshire-based Strata Homes and senior leadership positions at Keepmoat and MCI Developments. 

In his new role, he will focus on growing the Yorkshire-based team, progressing current affordable housing schemes and identifying new development opportunities across the county.

Nigel said: “Breck’s growth since the company launched has been phenomenal and a real testament to the company’s values and the way it operates – with a reputation for consistent, high-quality delivery.

“It’s a pivotal time for the affordable housing industry, with ever-growing demand and the Government’s planned £39 billion investment in the sector over the coming years as part of its ambitions to create 1.5 million new homes.

“Breck will play a significant part of this, transforming dozens of communities across the North and continuing our remarkable growth journey. 

“We already have a brilliant team and I’m excited to play a part in the next stage of building our team and operations in the Yorkshire market.”

Headquartered in Lancashire, Breck was established in 2020 and delivers affordable and open-market housing across the North of England.
