Alumasc Group appoints new CEO
Sustainable building products group Alumasc Group plc has appointed Pamela Bingham as its next chief executive.
Pamela will join the Alumasc board as CEO designate on March 2 and will formally take over the role following the retirement of current group chief executive Paul Hooper on March 31.
She brings more than 20 years’ senior leadership experience across international manufacturing and industrial services businesses.
Most recently, Pamela was chief executive of Eriks UK & Ireland, where she led commercial and operational growth ahead of the business’s sale in 2025.
She has also held chief executive and managing director roles at Glen Dimplex, CRH plc, The Weir Group and Rotork plc.
Pamela Bingham, CEO designate, said: “I am delighted to be joining Alumasc at such an exciting time in its journey.
“It is a unique company that positively contributes to the decarbonisation of the building and construction sector with its sustainable building products and innovative products and solutions.
“I look forward to working with Vijay, the Board, Alumasc’s management team and our people to build upon Alumasc’s successful growth in recent years.”
Alumasc provides sustainable building products, systems and solutions to the UK construction market and is headquartered in Burton Latimer, Kettering.
Vijay Thakrar, chair of Alumasc, added: “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Pamela as the new chief executive of the group.
“She brings extensive commercial experience as well as a record of value creation through organic and inorganic growth, employee engagement, digital transformation and customer loyalty, all of which will be helpful in leading Alumasc during its next stage of growth.
“After 25 years with the business, we will be sad to see Paul Hooper leave us and are grateful for the significant contribution he made over that time.
“He leaves a strong and agile group, well positioned to capitalise on the opportunities in its markets.”
