McKellar Consulting makes first hire

Glasgow-based recruitment firm McKellar Consulting has made its first hire, appointing Alex Hill as senior consultant as the company enters its next phase of growth.

Alex will focus on the accountancy and finance market across Scotland, bringing experience from commercial roles spanning sales, project management and recruitment. 

He joins from a large recruitment business, where he specialised in accountancy and finance roles across the private, public and third sectors.

Alex said: “I’m really excited to be teaming up with such a well-respected face in the market as Craig. 

“From the very first conversation regarding this opportunity, it was clear we were well aligned on both our ambitions and values.

Founded five years ago by Craig McKellar, McKellar Consulting specialises in recruitment for the professional services sector, with a focus on senior leadership roles across tax, audit, corporate finance and advisory.

Alex’s appointment marks a key milestone for the firm as it looks to expand its presence across Scotland and the north of England.
