Pegasus Group strengthens viability expertise
London-based multidisciplinary development consultancy Pegasus Group has appointed Chris Wheaton as senior director within its economics team, strengthening its development viability expertise.
Chris joins Pegasus to lead the growth of its development viability services, expanding the firm’s economics offering to include viability, development appraisal and financial analysis.
He brings 25 years’ experience advising landowners, developers, housebuilders and public bodies on complex development projects.
Chris joins from specialist consultancy Quod and has worked on major schemes including large-scale garden towns, town centre redevelopments and high-density urban regeneration projects.
He said: “It’s great to be joining Pegasus at a time of exciting growth.
“I look forward to working closely with the wider economics and development consultancy teams, combining my development viability expertise with Pegasus’ existing strengths, further building the team’s personnel, and adding to what is already a market-leading suite of planning and development services.”
Chris’ appointment follows a series of senior hires across Pegasus Group as it continues to invest in specialist capability to support clients navigating economic and legislative challenges in the development sector.
Richard Cook, head of economics at Pegasus Group, added: “In the current climate of economic uncertainty, development viability is an especially important factor across our client base.
“Chris’ experience is a perfect complement to our existing economic and development expertise and our economics team will continue to go from strength to strength in 2026 with his arrival.”
