HanmiGlobal appoints global business director
Korean-headquartered project and construction management firm HanmiGlobal has appointed James Porter as global business director, strengthening its international leadership team.
James joins the business from Avison Young, where he held senior executive roles including principal and chief client officer.
He brings extensive experience in strategic client management, programme delivery and international business development, having also held leadership positions at Arcadis in the UK.
In his new role, James will lead revenue growth, market expansion and strategic positioning across multiple regions, supporting closer alignment between HanmiGlobal’s operations in the UK, Korea, the US and the Middle East.
James said: “HanmiGlobal has built a strong international platform, underpinned by highly respected UK businesses and a growing portfolio of complex projects.
“I’m looking forward to working with teams across the Group to develop integrated propositions, strengthen client partnerships and support continued growth across the UK, Europe and beyond.”
James’ appointment supports the group’s international growth strategy as demand increases across complex, capital-intensive sectors including advanced manufacturing, energy transition and technology.
HanmiGlobal operates globally and owns UK-based construction and cost management consultancies K2 Construction Management and Walker Sime.
CK Han, vice chairman and head of global business at Hanmi Global, added: “James’ appointment is a strategic step for HanmiGlobal and a clear statement of intent.
“As demand for construction management continues to grow across complex and capital-intensive sectors, James brings the leadership, credibility and global perspective required to support our next phase of growth.
“His role will be central to strengthening our international platform and delivering on our ambition to be the partner of choice for clients seeking world-class project solutions.”
