Industrial firm makes 'exciting' city office switch
An industrial services firm has agreed a head office switch.
KAEFER UK & Ireland is moving to Newcastle’s Live Works.
Bosses say the Quayside-based hub represents an “exciting step” for the access solution, insulation and surface protection support provider.
They add the company has signed a 15-year lease for its 15,000sq ft base, which will supersede a Jarrow hub.
The agreement was brokered by commercial property consultancy Knight Frank.
Live Works is overseen by Live Theatre, with the development delivering income that supports the latter’s charitable and creative work.
Chris Foulkes, KAEFER UK & Ireland chief executive, said: “Live Works provides a modern, high-quality workspace that reflects our commitment to our people and gives our team a central, collaborative environment.
“We’re looking forward to being part of the Quayside community.”
Nathan Douglas, Knight Frank senior surveyor, said: “KAEFER was looking for a high-quality workspace in a prominent location for their staff, with good surrounding amenities.”
Jacqui Kell, Live Theatre executive director and co-chief executive, added: “Welcoming KAEFER as a long-term tenant is a real vote of confidence in the building, the location and Newcastle city centre.”
