Centre for Life seeks new chair
A North East science and education organisation is planning for its next stage of development as it begins the search for a new chair.
The International Centre for Life, in Newcastle, has launched the search for a new chair as Fiona Cruickshank prepares to step down later this year after more than five years in the role.
Having joined the board in 2013 and becoming chair in 2020, Fiona has helped guide the organisation through a period of change while maintaining its focus on making science accessible to all.
The centre is now seeking a successor to build on this legacy and help shape its next chapter.
Life chief executive Linda Conlon said: “Fiona has led the board with clarity and commitment over the past five years, and we are incredibly grateful for the leadership and perspective she has brought to the role.
“The world is increasingly shaped by developments in science and technology, and the pace of change presents both opportunities and challenges, making Life’s purpose more relevant than ever.
“We are looking for someone ready to help steer Life through the next stage of its journey.”
