Fiducia MGA appoints assistant underwriter
Leeds-based specialty insurance managing general agent Fiducia MGA has appointed Danielle Gilbert as assistant underwriter, supporting its ongoing growth across UK and European markets.
Danielle joins the business with more than 20 years’ experience across broking and underwriting.
In her new role, she will support Fiducia’s underwriting team across its specialist product lines, helping to maintain efficient policy administration and a responsive service for broker partners.
Her responsibilities include supporting policy renewals, issuing new business documentation and preparing management information to support underwriting activity.
Danielle said: “Fiducia has built a strong reputation in the specialist market for its service-led approach and knowledgeable underwriting team.
“I’ve joined at a really interesting point in the company’s growth and look forward to supporting the team as we continue to deliver high standards for brokers across the UK, European and international markets.”
Established in 2016, Fiducia MGA provides specialist insurance solutions including marine cargo, freight liability, engineering, marine equipment, fine art and specie, alongside excess of loss and terrorism covers.
The firm is backed by certain underwriters at Lloyd’s and other insurers and continues to expand its specialist offering.
Chief executive Gerry Sheehy added: “Danielle brings exactly the blend of experience and ‘can-do’ attitude we value at Fiducia.
“She’s hit the ground running and has already made a strong impact.
“She will play a key role in supporting the team and strengthening our underwriting capabilities as we continue to grow our network of broking partners.”
