Lovell appoints senior land manager
National partnership housing specialist Lovell has appointed Samantha Curtis as senior land and partnerships manager for the North East.
Samantha joined the business in December and brings extensive experience across planning, development and regeneration roles in the region.
In her new position, she will focus on identifying new land opportunities, managing Lovell’s existing pipeline and working closely with joint venture partners and registered providers to deliver partnership housing schemes.
Based in the North East, Samantha has previously held roles with Homes England, Lambert Smith Hampton and global engineering consultancy Cundall, alongside running her own planning and development consultancy.
She also brings strong regional connections through her involvement with professional bodies and public-private collaboration groups.
Samantha, from Whitley Bay, said: “I will be exploring new land opportunities and managing the existing pipeline of developments working with our internal technical team and consultants to design quality schemes, manage the planning process and negotiate land deals
“My goal is to continue with the momentum already built by the North East Land and Partnerships Team at Lovell and forge new partnerships through my industry connections.
“There is positivity with the new powers granted to the North East Combined Authority.
“The big issue with planning is resources, so decisions are being delayed and that has a knock-on effect on delivery.”
Lovell is a UK-wide partnership housing specialist, delivering mixed-tenure developments in collaboration with local authorities, housing associations and Homes England to create sustainable communities across the country.
