NECIT Services hires operations manager
Global engineering inspection services provider NECIT Services has appointed Calum Watson as operations manager to support its growth ambitions.
Calum joins the business with experience spanning both the public and private sectors.
He previously worked within Sunderland City Council’s business investment team, supporting the development of North East SMEs, and later held an operations management role with global retailer IKEA Group at its Gateshead operation.
In his new role, Calum will support the operational scaling of NECIT Services as the company continues to expand its team, service offering and market reach.
His appointment follows a period of growth for the business, supported by increased capacity and continued investment in technical training and capability.
Calum said: “It’s a very close-knit team here, and I’ve been made to feel very welcome from the beginning.
“I feel a strong sense of pride in the company, driven by trust and support I’ve been shown by my colleagues.
“NECIT employees represent the company’s values and principles in every aspect of their work.
“Our in-house technical team is second to none, and the experience and expertise we have at NECIT puts us at the very top of the tree for certification, inspection and testing.
“Our clients can always trust that they’re receiving the highest level of service available.”
Peter Lyons, chief executive and technical director at NECIT Services Ltd, added: “Calum’s enthusiasm to see NECIT succeed has been instrumental in driving our ambition and growth over the last quarter.
“With his professional experience and guidance, NECIT will continue to raise the bar for engineering certification and testing throughout the industry.”
