ARL appoints new North West chairs
The Association for Rental Living (ARL), the membership body for all institutionally backed, professionally managed purpose-built rental living sectors, has appointed new leadership for its North West Steering Group, with Chloe Sachikonye named as chair and Bex Hetherington confirmed as vice chair.
Chloe, a senior account executive at property technology firm Yardi, succeeds Dougie Orton-Wade following two successful years of growth for the Hub.
With more than ten years’ experience across residential operations, account and project management, systems implementation and data analysis, she brings strong regional insight and a long-standing involvement in the North West rental living sector.
Chloe said: “The North West is one of the most dynamic regions in the living sector, and I’m delighted to take on the role of chair, working alongside our committee and wider community to encourage collaboration, share knowledge, and drive meaningful conversations across rental living.”
Chloe will be supported by Bex Hetherington, head of operations at Native Communities, who takes on the role of vice chair.
Bex brings operational leadership experience across professionally managed residential assets and a focus on raising standards across build to rent, co-living and wider rental living models.
The leadership changes follow a period of sustained momentum for the North West Hub, one of ARL’s first regional steering groups.
Recent activity has included seminars, study tours, roundtables and engagement with local authorities, alongside a well-attended event earlier this month exploring Greater Manchester’s development ambitions and the Manchester Good Landlord Charter.
Outgoing chair Dougie Orton-Wade and vice chair Peter Grimshaw will remain involved with the Hub, continuing to support its work promoting best practice and collaboration across the rental living sector.
Brendan Geraghty, chief executive of the ARL, added: “We are extremely grateful to both Dougie and Peter for their leadership of the North West Hub since its formation.
“The Hub was created as part of the Association’s regionally responsive growth, with its work delivering an important voice for the rental living sector in the North West.
“As the Hub enters its next chapter, we are delighted to welcome Chloe and Bex to lead its ongoing work, promoting collaboration and addressing the unique challenges and opportunities facing the sector in the region.”
