Mantle Space appoints fractional managing director

Cambridge-based flexible workspace operator Mantle Space has appointed Alexandra Livesey as fractional managing director as it looks to support continued growth across the South East.

Alexandra joins the company in a newly created role, reporting to founder and chief executive Guy Baker, and will oversee day-to-day operations across the company’s eight centres, leading a team of 45.

Her focus will be on operational performance, service delivery and supporting Mantle Space’s long-term growth ambitions.

Alexandra brings significant experience from the flexible workspace and hospitality sectors, having most recently served as chief operating officer at international operator Clockwise, where she oversaw sustained growth.

She also has more than two decades of experience in hospitality and was involved in the launch of boutique hotel brand Brama Hotels in 2025.

Alexandra said: “Alignment of vision, energy and passion for the industry and its people is very important to me.

“I’ve found this in abundance when meeting first with Guy and then the entire senior leadership team.

“Mantle Space is a strong and thriving business that has an exciting future ahead – to be part of the journey and growth going forward is really exciting.”

Mantle Space is the largest flexible workspace operator in Cambridge and was recognised as a Great Place to Work in 2025.

Recent investment includes the expansion of its 95 Regent Street site to more than 22,000sq ft, alongside its ongoing operation of The Bradfield Centre at Cambridge Science Park on behalf of Trinity College Cambridge.

Founded in 2007, Mantle Space continues to invest in the region’s innovation ecosystem, supporting startups, scaleups and established businesses across the East of England.

Guy added: “From our first meeting, I knew Alexandra had the drive, expertise and passion to lead Mantle Space through its next phase.

“She quickly understood our vision and recognised our emphasis on building long-term communities – both within our membership and in our own team.

“With some new developments already in the pipeline, 2026 is shaping up to be a pivotal year for the business!”
