Fortus strengthens advisory leadership
York-based accountancy and advisory firm Fortus has appointed Jackie Senior as group head of accounts and business advisory services, strengthening its senior leadership team and expanding its advisory offer for owner-managed businesses.
Jackie brings almost 30 years’ experience supporting businesses across a range of sectors, with a focus on combining strong technical expertise with commercially focused advice.
In her new role, she will lead Fortus’ accounts and business advisory services, with a particular emphasis on developing real-time accounting and insight-led financial support.
Jackie’s appointment will support Fortus’s ambition to work more closely with clients as a strategic partner, providing up-to-date financial information to support faster, more confident decision-making.
She said: “Accountancy should be about more than ticking compliance boxes with HMRC or Companies House.
“It’s about understanding your goals, your challenges, and what success truly means for you.
“When we’re able to work with live data, we can help clients see the impact of their decisions as their business progresses – without waiting for year-end.
“What drives me is helping people feel empowered by their numbers.
“I want our clients to feel supported every step of the way – not just once a year when accounts are due, but throughout their journey.
“When we become part of your team, we can make a tangible difference to how you plan, grow, and succeed.”
Fortus is a Yorkshire-based accountancy and advisory firm supporting ambitious businesses with integrated financial, tax and advisory services, combining local insight with national-level expertise.
Chief executive Craig Herbert added: “Jackie’s blend of experience, energy, and modern thinking epitomises the direction Fortus is taking as a firm.
“Her leadership will enhance the way we deliver insight, clarity, and confidence to our clients – helping them make smarter decisions, faster.”
