Airport launches 100-job recruitment drive
A North East travel hub is ramping up recruitment as it prepares for a record-breaking year of passenger growth and expanded services.
Newcastle International Airport is set to recruit more than 100 new team members ahead of what is expected to be the busiest year in its history, with six million passengers forecast to travel through the site.
Roles span security, passenger services, operations and cleaning, with a mix of seasonal and permanent positions available.
Lynn Perry, chief people officer at Newcastle Airport, said: “2026 is going to be a special year for Newcastle Airport as we get ready to welcome a record six million passengers.
“To meet the strong customer demand and ensure we continue to deliver exceptional services, we are investing in our people and growing our teams with a wide variety of roles available that suit many different skill sets and experience levels.
“Newcastle Airport is a fantastic place to work and I would encourage anyone looking for work or interested in a career change to keep an eye on our website and social media channels over the coming weeks and months as the roles are advertised.”
The recruitment drive comes as the airport rolls out its largest ever flight programme, serving more than 80 destinations, alongside new routes and the opening of an easyJet base.
Almost £60 million is also being invested in terminal and arrivals upgrades.
