Azets appoints audit partner in Coventry office

Accountancy and advisory firm Azets has strengthened its Midlands presence with the appointment of Paul Fenner as audit and advisory partner, based at its Coventry office.

Paul joins Azets from BDO LLP, where he was national head of construction and Midlands head of manufacturing. 

He brings more than 30 years’ experience in audit and advisory services, supporting fast-growing and complex organisations across a range of sectors.

In his new role, Paul will work across Azets’ offices in Coventry, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Tamworth, Nottingham and London, supporting clients with audit and strategic advisory services across the region.

He said: “My particular specialities are within the real estate, construction, manufacturing and technology sectors. 

“I have International Accounting Standards (IFRS) experience from working with a number of listed entities and have been involved with corporate finance transactions, helping find funding for companies seeking growth opportunities.  

“My IFRS experience could also help support a number of UK companies that need to transition to IFRS with the new accounting standards FRS 102, that became effective at the start of January 2026.

Paul’s appointment further enhances Azets’ audit and advisory capability in the Midlands as the firm continues to invest in senior expertise to support its expanding client base.
