Bondgate IT director joins GTIA executive council
Darlington-based IT services firm Bondgate IT has announced that Damien Harrison, operations and marketing director, has been elected to the UK and Ireland executive council of the Global Technology Industry Association (GTIA).
Elected by GTIA members, Damien will represent the views of the UK and Ireland technology community and work alongside industry leaders to support the organisation’s mission across the global IT channel.
In his new role on the executive council, Damien will focus on strengthening peer collaboration, supporting leadership development, and ensuring regional member voices help shape GTIA’s strategic direction.
Damien said: “Community has played a defining role in how I lead and how we have built Bondgate IT.
“The most valuable conversations in our industry happen inside trusted, peer-led communities where people are willing to share what works, what failed, and what they would do differently next time.
“I’m honoured to represent the UK & Ireland community and to give back to a network that has shaped my career and perspective.”
Garry Brown, managing director at Bondgate IT, added: “We are proud to see Damien elected to the GTIA UK & Ireland Executive Council.
“This appointment reflects his integrity, his long-standing contribution to the MSP community, and his belief that strong, human-centred leadership matters as technology continues to evolve.”
MJ Shoer, chief community officer of the GTIA, added: “We are thrilled to welcome Damien Harrison to the GTIA executive council and are grateful for his leadership and dedication to our mission to help the IT channel connect and grow.
“As a key influencer for GTIA in the UK & Ireland region, he will help advance our regional strategy, champion the needs of local members, support the community, and contribute to initiatives that foster meaningful growth across the IT channel.”
Damien’s appointment reflects Bondgate IT’s ongoing commitment to industry engagement and community-led leadership.
