Pulse Consult promotes London director

Construction consultancy Pulse Consult has promoted Carrie Young from associate director to director, strengthening its senior leadership team in the capital.

Carrie has been with Pulse for eight years, having joined the business as a graduate.

She brings a dual background as a quantity surveyor and project manager and has played a key role in delivering large-scale university estates projects, alongside work across the residential and heritage sectors.

In her new role, Carrie will lead Pulse’s quantity surveying team based at the firm’s Fitzrovia office, supporting continued growth and client delivery in London.

Since relocating from Nottingham, she has been instrumental in expanding Pulse’s presence in the region, building client relationships and developing a strong local team.

Carrie said: “Starting out in the industry can be daunting, but with Pulse’s support, leading our London quantity surveying team into this next phase is an exciting challenge.

“I’m also proud to be overseeing our higher education projects, which give us the chance to deliver innovative solutions across the sector.

“In this director role, my focus is on driving the business forward while building a diverse, expert team and mentoring emerging talent.

“It’s rewarding to see our people grow, becoming highly skilled, resilient and ready to lead the next generation of projects.”

Carrie’s promotion forms part of wider senior investment across the business, with Pulse also making leadership appointments at its Birmingham and Nottingham offices as it continues to grow nationally.

Ian Carey, managing director at Pulse, added: “Carrie’s journey at Pulse is a testament to the opportunities we create for talented individuals.

“Her drive, expertise and leadership have been instrumental in establishing and growing our London operations, and her promotion to director reflects the real impact she’s had on our business.

“We’re excited to see her continue to shape our team, win new projects and drive Pulse’s growth across the region.”
