Recruitment firm expands with takeover
A recruitment firm has expanded with a takeover.
Start People has bought SG Personnel.
The Durham and Manchester-based operator says the “milestone” move will strengthen £20 million turnover plans and lay foundations to create up to 15 jobs.
It adds the takeover of Sunderland-based SG Personnel – which provides temporary and permanent staff across the manufacturing, distribution and technical sectors – will “strengthen delivery and operational scale”.
David Edwards, director at Start People, which provides manufacturing sector and supply chain support, said: “Founded on a commitment to excellence in compliance and customer service, SG Personnel has built an enviable reputation.
“It perfectly aligns with our growth plan over the coming years.”
Start People was advised on the deal by Dan Flounders and Samantha Higgins, of Stockton-based Jacksons Law, and Clive Owen Accountants’ Michael Cantwell.
