Global Infusion Group achieves B Corp status
A Buckinghamshire-based catering and logistics specialist has strengthened its sustainability credentials after achieving a recognised benchmark for responsible business.
Global Infusion Group has been certified as a B Corporation, joining a global community of companies committed to balancing commercial success with positive social and environmental impact.
The certification, awarded by non-profit organisation B Lab, recognises high standards across governance, workers, community, environment and customers.
Global Infusion Group now joins more than 9000 certified B Corps worldwide, including over 2500 in the UK.
The process required the company to meet rigorous performance thresholds and formally embed its commitment to purpose alongside profit within its Articles of Association.
With more than four decades of experience delivering catering, hospitality and brand logistics services, the group has increasingly formalised its approach to sustainability, inclusion and employee wellbeing.
Its B Corp certification builds on the publication of its first annual Impact Report, which sets out its progress to date alongside ongoing commitments around emissions reduction, ethical supply chains, workforce development and community engagement.
Bonnie May, chief executive of Global Infusion Group, said: “Becoming a B Corp is a hugely important milestone for our business.
“It recognises the work we’ve been doing for many years to operate responsibly, look after our people, support our communities and reduce our environmental impact, while continuing to deliver exceptional service for our clients.
“Achieving the certification isn’t the end of the journey, it’s the start, with a framework that holds us accountable and challenges us to keep raising the bar.
“The events, catering and logistics sectors are under increasing scrutiny, and rightly so.
“B Corp certification sends a clear signal that we are committed to transparency, accountability and meaningful action.
“We want to play an active role in shaping a more responsible future for the industries that we serve and to demonstrate that high standards and commercial success go hand in hand.”
